Among the various proprietary technologies to recover values from scrap or metallurgical wastes, the Ezinex process for the direct production of Zinc metal from the Electric Arc Furnace Dust has great potential because it is the only process that is able to produce Zinc in form  of metal cathodes in one single plant and to recover the other metals and salt beard by the EAFD. In conjunction with a small EAF the system, named Integrated Ezinex Process, is in condition to recover also the iron in form of pig iron and/or Ferro Alloys and to transform the slag in mineral wool mattress by a dedicated unit.
